− I think the staff could have been better. Perhaps need managed better to ensure standards. I don’t like staff rolling there eyes when I make a reasonable request
Beautiful and comfortable historic hotel with a great location, excellent food and service, incredible views.
10.0Our room with the mountain view terrace with the view was a delight. We shared the terrace with all of the guests on our level but it was not a problem at all. The location was excellent too. Even though it meant some walking uphill (or downhill), it only took 10 minutes to get into town where there were many restaurant options. The hotel breakfasts were excellent, as were the dinners (one night a buffet). We also loved sitting out in the garden after a walk or hike. We stayed for four days and each day there was a different hike or attraction opportunity, but it was also an excellent place to just relax. Although it is an older historic hotel, it had so much character. The decor resembled art deco which gave a lovely ambiance. Beautiful bar with village view, lovely library and sitting room, beautiful dining areas. Finally, let me say that the staff were all exceptionally helpful and attentive. I highly recommend this hotel.
− Two suggestions: 1) more outlets for charging devices (so lamps didn’t need to be unplugged; 2) rotate the music being played in the common areas - the oldies American mix became tiresome after awhile. Maybe some light instrumental or classical?

Karaktervol hotel!
9.0Karaktervol hotel met een stijlvolle ontvangst. Het hotel is gedateerd, maar dat is juist een plus, het gaat nergens ten kostte van comfort, maar geeft juist een extra beleving. Het ontbijt was prima, het diner was bovengemiddeld goed. Vriendelijk personeel, geven echt een personal touch.
