Good room friendly accommodating staff let down by the breakfast
8.0The room was good clean well presented. Bathroom dusty in places but overall good. Location excellent
− Breakfast disappointing rubbery scrambled eggs and burnt sausages. It was not over busy so we we felt let down

− I had a balcony but couldn’t use it as people were smoking underneath and the smell came into my room

4.0The room was clean , but very dated and small , the bed was very comfortable and the staff were friendly . Breakfast was good ..
− Room above us very noisy , real ale selection not as extensive as advertised . Evening meal really poor , I had Watermill Chicken , skin left on and not crisp , hard trying to remove soggy chicken skin , the mash was advertised as chive but tasted like rehydrated packet mash , dry with no seasoning or flavour, and sauce was thick and Lumpy! My husband had steak pie, which came with a door stop of a pastry lid , Cabbage and bacon had no flavour despite having large chunks of garlic in it . The meal was poor value for money at over £45 for just the food mentioned above , also flies were everywhere when we were having our evening meal and breakfast ! WiFi is also really poor , and I would not stay again !
