8.0Small family-owned hotel in a quiet location, 10min from the city center. Lucas, the owner, is extremely nice and helpful. The bed was comfortable.
− Wifi didn't work much the time, which is supposedly normal in El Calafate. I had a local SIM card so it wasn't a big problem, but it's something to keep in mind.
Lovely quiet chalet, good base for exploring the area
8.0- Quiet location within a residential area, about a 25 min walk form the main town area. supermarket (and 10 min walk from the bus station). - The chalet was adorable! The kitchen was well equipped with the right amount of cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils needed for us to make dinners. There was however limited counter space so we had to do a lot of meal prep on the dining table and store food on the food. The shower was hot and the bed was firm yet comfortable. There was enough space in the chalet for us to both fully unpack our suitcases and re-sort out all our hiking gear. - Plenty of sockets in the wall for charging, and decent Wi-Fi too. - We had issues with the heating on our first day and the chalet host fixed it for us the next morning and made a video of how we could fix it if it happened again.
− The only negatives: the stairs in our chalet were steep and very slippery!! We definitely needed to have our wits when walking down them in the middle of the night for the bathroom - especially when our legs were a little sore from all the hiking! The bin’s also weren’t emptied at all during our stay so by the end of our 4 night stay the bins were overflowing. With hindsight we should’ve just asked to have them empty; the host was always helpful and friendly when we saw him so I imagine he would’ve fixed the issue if we had asked!

8.0La ubicación no estaba mal. Lo más importante es que estaba limpio y dotado con lo imprescindible. Se notaba el interés de los dueños por mantener en condiciones óptimas el alojamiento. El dueño super amable nos permitió dejar el equipaje el día en que debíamos abandonar la habitación y nos asesoró en nuestra estancia en Calafate.
