This is a “don’t miss” Costa Rican experience. Highly recommended.
10.0The view was wonderful, but the hummingbird experience was outstanding, exceptional, unique. Our hosts were terrific. Pablo and Teri couldn’t be nicer, and more helpful. Honestly, we were there for the hummingbird experience, and it surpassed our hopes and expectations. A hummingbird even perched on my hand to drink from the feeder! Plan to stay a couple of days, relax, and enjoy the hospitality.

− Too expensive, they charged us for everything. What annoyed me the most however was charging us to photograph there! I think if someone stays there and pays US $200 a night and pays US $25 per meal (x3 per day) they should be allowed to photograph what they want, for free! Also, nobody else staying there when we went and they put us in the smallest room with no wifi. Bird feeders and perches were of poor quality except for the hummingbird feeders, which were many.
If you love hummingbirds this is one of the best locations in the world!

La Ruta del Colibrí / The Hummingbird Experience presentation is not included in room rate. If requested, there will be a charge of $30/ participant. Meals not included as they will be covered by meal plans available at Lodge. Non-MF Hummingbird Photography access is included with room rate. Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.
Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.
