Location was great. Easy to find. Off road parking. Very quiet area. The house was very homely; facilities were good and the extras of towels provided, toilet roll, Wii fi and cushions were an added bonus.

− From arrival, it was disastrous. The lack of communication and organisation from the hosts is terrible. They told me to check around the garden for the key and not to touch the key box as it was apparently broken. Fieces were all up the path and the front garden had litter dumped left right and centre it was the worst first impression. After getting wet and cold looking for the key, no response via email or messages, I then had to make calls to booking to then be told the key may be taken by the last customer or be in the broken key box after all. At that point, I thought how could the property have been cleaned if no-one has been here since the last booking. There were two doors to go through and the lock on the front door was so loose and damaged, it took a while to get the key to turn and unlock it to get into the property. Once entering, it was very obvious that the property was very neglected, had not been cleaned and had an awful smell. There were a lot of defects, damage, neglect around the property when we had a quick scan and after checking the bedding and mattresses we knew we could not stay there. It looked far from the description and pictures and even the back garden was covered in litter and cigarette ends. The property was covered in dirt, cobwebs, insects and spiders around the ceilings/walls, dirty mattresses and bedding, damaged flooring/tiles, broken drawers which fell off and nearly caused injury, dog/cat fieces all up front garden path, litter dumped in piles over front garden and dustbins overflowing. Very awful experience, very disappointing, time consuming and upsetting especially with two children. We had to waste so much time on so many calls before making our way home as we couldn't find any other accommodation. The communication and help from the hosts was non existent. Myself and booking tried to contact them from the day of checking and weeks after and myself and booking had no response.

Nothing but lies

− Everything was filthy, dirty and unmaintained. The 'cleaner' is cleaning nothing but air. Sheets were repulsive and the crockery were cracked and yet again dirty and not enough for 5 people (bowls and mugs)The worse factor of this entire place is the spiders. If you have arachnophobia do not stay here the place is practically infested with them. Every single room has minimum 6 spiders and more. The living room is no longer for humans but is the spiders breeding grounds. Overall for the amount of hard earned money I have wasted on this place is disgraceful. This home is an embarrassment. More over, the home was meant to have 2 'accsesable' toilet. I had booked this place specially for those requirements, these requirements were no way near met. The downstairs toilet wasn't available till the last day of my stay which is ridiculous as I have come with 4 other family members. My mother end up hurting her back doing up and down stairs as one toilet and host had no acknowledgement of it at all Addressing the spider issue too the host completely blindsided the issue, aswell as the other issues that were only solved partially at the end of my stay. TV cable hanging around tripping hazards,broken chair ..... Overall the home should be renamed as spider hell hole, the stay was terrible and disappointing. I hope no one endures the same disappointment and barbaric 'holiday home' this was.
