A fantastic week, a lovely lodge in a great location. It’s my second time staying so that says a lot
9.0My second time staying here. The lodge is spotless and has absolutely everything you need. The kitchen is very well stocked. The bedrooms are so spacious with so much wardrobe space. So much bigger than a caravan and very luxurious.
− Even though the lodge has its own private parking, parking can be difficult as not enough spaces for everyone, especially if you are getting home after 5pm. Twice someone parked in our private space even though there is a sign saying private parking, and as I didn’t know who the car belonged to, I had to find another space which wasn’t ideal.
The lodge was perfect for us and we were so lucky with the weather.

10.0The layout and facilities were excellent. Storage was amazing but could have done with some of the contents being reduced in places. Great value for money. I will certainly return on my visits to the area. Highly recommended.
− The lighting at the end of Romney Hollow leaves a lot to be desired. In bad weather and heavy rain it's like driving into a black hole. The allocated parking could do with an upgrade. When parking spaces are occupied by larger vehicles maneuvers into spaces can be a problem.
Caravan was very bright and spacious and more than adequate for our needs during our stay
7.0Brought our own food as we were self catering. Cooking facilities in caravan were good. Location was just right to be able to attend our daughter’s wedding There was an area specific to walking dogs which we used every day, happy dog!! The main bedroom has an en-suite, very handy for my husband who has mobility issues
− Camp was extremely busy with weekenders and also realised that a lot of people actually live on site. Cars and vans parked everywhere. It was difficult to park in and out of designated parking space.
AVOID! I totally recommend you do NOT book this accommodation!
1.0Be very careful to report every fault with The Lodge at the time of arrival or you may be blamed with your deposit withheld.
− The owners attitude to charge a £100 deposit and £40 cleaning charge days before departure. The rental price should include cleaning and any breakages can be charged to your card without paying a deposit direct to the owners bank account. The owners also offer direct rebookings to the Booking.com customers to avoid giving booking.com commission. Totally unethical!
