Close to the restaurants in town. The view of the river from the room was nice. Yakushima island is definitely worth visiting.

− I couldn't arrive on my first reservation day because the ferry from Kagoshima was cancelled. I called them that day and the Hotel promised to refund part of the first night stay. I never got the refund. Hotel itself is quite run down and definitely not worth the price. You can smell mold in the corridors.

The view from the window is superb, and it’s only a 5-minute walk from all the restaurants. The owner is super friendly and was very helpful during the heavy rain. This is definitely the place to stay for your vacation.

J'ai séjourné dans la chambre avec la vue sur montagne et rivière, ca en met plein les yeux tellement c'est merveilleux!!! Le personnel est agréable est arrangeant, malgré une non maitrise totale de l'anglais. L'hotel à par exemple accepté que je laisse une valise chez eux le jour de mon départ pour que je puisse ballader la journée avant de rejoindre un autre logement (l'hotel n'avait plus de disponibilité pour ma dernière nuit sur l'ile). Le petit dejeuner végétarien (du deuxième jour, voir les points négatifs) était vraiement très bon. Cet hotel à l'air d'avoir sa grosse part d'histoire dans l'ile, et malgré le fait que tout ne soit communiqué qu'en japonais, les images permettent d'apercevoir une partie de l'histoire de l'ile juste au travers du séjour dans l'hotel. Je n'ai pas testé l'onsen (étant tatouée, et de manière non camouflable), je ne peux donc me prononcer sur celui-ci.

− L'hotel est totalement délabré et à mon sens la vue ne justifie pas le prix vu l'état des locaux et les équipements non fonctionnels. J'ai réservé la chambre avec vue pour avoir une salle de bain privée, malheureusement le bain japonais fuit et il est donc impossible de prendre un bain... Les portes partent en morceaux, les tapisseries sont tachées ou trouées, les papiers des portes en bois sont décollés, l'eau chaude (par balon gaz individuel?) est capricieuse, l'isolation phonique est inexistante, etc... Le premier jour malgré la communication du fait que je suis végétarienne à l'enregistrement j'ai eu un petit déjeuner classique de l'hotel, que de la viande et du poisson quasiement, je n'ai donc mangé que du riz blanc. Erreur rattrapé le deuxième jour.

Nice hotel and ambiance, but the unprofessional and aggressive behavior of one manager significantly affected the stay.

The hotel itself has a pleasant atmosphere and reflects the calm, hospitable environment you expect in Japan.

− My experience was negatively affected by the behavior of one manager, Tany. During the day, I requested assistance with a taxi but received no reply. At around 7 PM, I asked again in person and was told vaguely that taxis were not available, but something might be arranged informally. There was still no clear confirmation or cancellation policy provided. About an hour later, I cancelled my request. After that, the situation escalated unnecessarily. At around 11 PM, the manager came to my room, raised her voice, and demanded a cancellation fee. I was disturbed late at night several times and not allowed to rest, which is completely unacceptable. Her voice was loud disturbing other guests as well. In addition, during my stay, whenever there were issues with room arrangements, responsibility was consistently shifted onto me instead of being handled professionally by the hotel. This behavior completely contradicted the otherwise calm and pleasant atmosphere of the property and unfortunately ruined the overall experience.

Good location.

− Lots, poorly designed rooms. External signage very poor, made it hard to find, no signs to help find reception. Rooms small and hard to use eg as a couple we were very cramped.
