A beautiful hotel in a great location, let down by an uncomfortable bed
8.0The location is excellent, and the service throughout our stay was outstanding. Breakfast was superb, and the ski locker facilities were particularly well designed. The spa was spacious and relaxing, and the overall design of the hotel is both elegant and thoughtfully executed. Altogether, it offers a warm and inviting atmosphere.
− The main drawback was the bed. It was quite firm, which in itself might be a matter of preference, but the bigger issue was that it consisted of two separate mattresses pushed together rather than one proper double bed. This created a gap in the middle, making it uncomfortable to lie close together. We asked about changing rooms, but were informed that this setup is standard throughout the hotel. A sheet was provided to help keep the beds together, but unfortunately it did not resolve the issue. It’s a shame, because everything else about the stay was excellent. However, at this price point, good sleep and proper bedding are essential. For that reason alone, we would not choose to stay again.
