Great Owner-Needs Serious Updating and Repairs

The check in was very good. The owner was friendly and helpful. He got us checked in quickly and showed us to our cabin. The cabin that we stayed in was in serious need of repair. The screen door had a piece of wire sticking out for a handle, the main door stuck on the jamb as it was out of adjustment. There were pieces of ceiling texture missing, the shower had mold in the corners and the soap holder was rusty. The outside porch and railing were ready to fall over- paint peeling from the siding and porch railing. The room did feel clean, although. We stayed 2 nights. There was no soundproofing whatsoever from the room next door. Good thing they only stayed one night. The outside grounds were clean and we could park right outside our door. I give the property a 2 star only because the owner was very nice. Its way past time for some serious updating and repairs!

After booking for 2 adults and one chile 11 years old, the owner tried to extort another $25 on arrival claiming that the "child" was only up to 4 years old. I showed him my booking and he eventually relented.

Filthy. I did not even want to use the shower. Dust everywhere cobwebs, dirt, stains on walls and sheets. The manager kept touching me. He would walk up and just walk inside to talk to me. Without knocking. Was peaking through the windows. Communication issue. Could not get a refund. They refused to give me one. They get that a lot.
