8.0We stayed here during our trip to Japan and were really looking forward to a deeper, more immersive experience with the tea ceremony and zazen. The setting is beautiful and peaceful, and everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. We truly appreciated the warmth of the hosts and the chance to experience these traditions. However, we were a bit disappointed compared to our expectations. Previous reviews mentioned an English-speaking monk and in-depth conversations, which was something we were especially excited about. During our stay, nobody spoke English and communication was mainly through a phone translator. Because of this, the experiences — including the tea ceremony and zazen — felt somewhat flat and less immersive, with a bit of friction instead of a natural flow. Overall, we would rate it 8/10 — a special place with very kind people, but the experience may vary depending on availability and communication.

Sehr nette Besitzer
