Best guest-house experience of my 4.5-day/4-night hike on the Menalon Trail

I started the Menalon Trail in Stemnitsa and Christina and Fani were welcoming, genuine, and helpful hosts, and they had no problem with my early arrival. The room was very comfortable with a window to the beautiful breakfast garden and stream behind the guesthouse. The location was perfect--quiet but a short walk to the town square. Breakfast was by far the best one I had at any guesthouse along the trail! I would gladly come back here. Thank you!

An unforgettable stay in the heart of Stemnitsa. Tsarbou Guesthouse is a beautiful stone-built retreat full of authenticity and mountain charm. Christina, the hostess, was extraordinary — warm, attentive, and genuinely kind in a way that feels rare nowadays. Her breakfast was absolutely splendid: fresh, generous, and prepared with true care. Every corner of the house reflects her dedication and hospitality, making the experience both cozy and memorable. A fantastic stay from start to finish.
