A gem in Victoria
10.0What a great find it was. We could not fault Casa Gemini. Lovely warm welcome from Anna, the host Great breakfast that we took outside in a lovely courtyard. Lovely large room with a balcony facing the Citadel. Perfect location, a few minutes away from the Citadel, bus station and restaurants.

Casa Gemelli: a 4 Star Gem among an ancient city
10.0Casa Gemelli is a 4 star gem among boutique hotels. In the heart of the bustling center of Victoria and behind an unimposing exterior lies a quiet serenity that any traveler would love after a long day exploring Gozo. With only nine rooms there was never a commotion of people coming and going. At the entrance is a well decorated and comfortable sitting area with reading material about the island and the history of Casa Gemelli which is fascinating and offers an insight into the Gozitans; residents of Gozo. With a warm welcome from Anna, the owner of Casa Gemelli, you quickly feel like home. My single room on the back of the second floor had a window looking up at the Citadel and over the outdoor breakfast area and a welcoming bottle of water with some delightful cookies. Most of the rooms face the back and have balconies with more expansive views. You have an option of using an interior elevator or an elegant staircase. The breakfast has indoor and outdoor options. For a small hotel I was surprised by the amount of food and delicious preparation. My omelette was superb. The numerous jams are made in-house and available for purchase on check out. I got sick my last night following an all day tour and Anna graciously let me stay a few hours later with no charge. With Anna’s suggestion I took a bus to and from the ferry terminal and got off in Victoria bus terminal which was a 5 minute walk. My tour picked me up in front of Casa Gemelli. I wish I had more time to explore the numerous restaurants scattered through the winding streets of this sweet city, some in the town square have rooftops for cocktails or dining.
