10.0The staff were all helpful and friendly. Didn’t meet one grumpy one. With a person in our group needing extra assistance this was very important. The spa treatment was expensive but well worth the money. The Lomri restaurant served tasty, beautifully presented food. Our rooms were spacious and well appointed.

Hotel is very nice but some aspects could really be improved to match the price overall.
6.0Beautiful hotel in beautiful surroundings, perfect for a get away weekend. We enjoyed the outdoor pools very much which were both heated. Dinner at Lomri was really exceptional! Delicious dishes and very nice setting (lots of natural light coming in the room). Service was great there too.
− We felt the value for money was disappointing: mattress was old and far too soft, no complimentary water in the room despite the heatwave and the temperature in the room was almost unbearable (32 degrees when we got there…!) with no air cond available. We were also very disappointed by the breakfast - we both ordered eggs royale which were far too cooked and the hollandaise sauce was nearly cold. The worst I’ve ever eaten and I don’t think I am difficult to please with breakfasts! Last point to raise: the staff at XIX was not particularly welcoming and friendly and seemed unexperienced for the most part. We didn’t see lots of smiles on faces…!
