Villa Victoria was a very pleasant surprise. Having read some reviews claiming it was located far away from everything, I arrived there with a lot of anxiety. I found the location to be perfect for my purposes--middle class residential, secure, quiet, and conducive--- for reading, writing and relaxation. The only drawback is that you will need to ask the hotel to find a cab for you to get around. The buildings are fairly new, contemporary in design and equipped with a generator, which helped a lot during the frequent blackouts. If you are adventurous, you may do the 5 min walk to the main road occasionally to sample the local cuisine and beer. I preferred to order my dinner when I go in for my breakfast and the executive chef, Robert, was always available to offer helpful suggestions.

Our stay at the Villa Victoria Guest House was nothing short of outstanding. The villa is located on a quiet street in West Legon not far from the University of Ghana- Legon Campus. Easy to locate and not far from good restaurants, shopping etc. Rooms were large, very clean and comfortable. They have found a way to keep all mosquitoes out of the rooms. For those who have been to Ghana before this is a huge plus!! No problems with internet access, running water, lights etc. - basically a real oasis in Accra. Oh and by the way this is also one of the most affordable places to stay given the level of comfort and service. We cannot say enough about the staff. Ernest was amazing - responsive, helpful and always in a good mood! Robert, the chef made our morning breakfasts a great and yummy way to start the day (we rate the breakfast which is made to your order daily and included in the room rate a 10 out of 10). James was always pleasant, available and helpful. Together they worked together to make sure that our stay was as enjoyable as possible. We recommend Villa Victoria whether you are a first timer to Ghana or repeat traveller. We certainly will be back!!

My party and I had a great experience here. It was phenomenal to work with the staff, Alfred, Martin, James, Ebenezo, and Pat, the manager of the facility. They made our trip to Ghana very comfortable, we will always stay here in our return trips to Accra. Its a very clean, inviting place, with personal amenities, dishes cooked to order, as well as a very relaxing porch and common areas. We truly felt that it was home away from home. I would recommend to anyone traveling to Accra that they see if the Villa has some space! It will be well worth it.
