This historic, cozy cottage at the entrance to the estate is the original gatehouse for the property. Set in a pretty garden with shady trees in summer, Gatehouse Cottage offers an outdoor veranda, a dining room and a lounge with an open wood fireplace, gas heating, a 2-seater couch, books, music, a TV and a DVD player. There are beautiful stained glass windows and clear windows, which overlook the garden. The bedroom has a queen-sized bed and is adjacent to a spa room, which has a 2-person spa bath. Both bathrobes are provided. In a separate bathroom there is a toilet, shower and a vanity. The fully equipped kitchen has a stove top, an oven, a small refrigerator, crockery, glassware, cutlery and saucepans. Free WiFi is provided.

Great location close to the busy tourist attractions but once back to the estate a private walled garden with a romantic spa and fireplace await for you

One of the loveliest cottages we have stayed in. Great sized kitchen, super fluffy towels, bed was comfortable, good shower water pressure and plenty of hot water.

− Sofa is a bit saggy in the middle.
