− Overall I am not happy here.There are a lot of hotels around Penang which are 10 times better than this..The toilet pipe is broken,loud noise ,no coffee or food, bedsheets are dirty.

Staff and location great - overpriced

The location is super. Close to everything.

− The bed was ridiculously small - probably the smallest double bed I’ve ever seen. There was only one socket beside the bed and the other one was beside the front door. No water provided. Taxes are higher than other places and it’s over priced compared to other hotels.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating. When I told them I'm working online, they allocated a room near the server ( next to the reception area) and the wifi connection was awesome. All the cafes and food eateries are within walking distance and parking is within the hotel itself. This has been our 3rd stay at Chulia Heritage.

Good to know

From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. Please note that hotel policy requires Muslim couples checking in to produce a marriage certificate upon arrival at the hotel. Kindly contact the hotel's front desk for further information.
