Some double rooms are in the main building with en-suite showers and views over looking the Market Square (a reward for climbing the steep stairs), others are the 'cottage rooms' which are spilled level rooms with a seating area and en-suite shower room downstairs and bedroom upstairs. Please be aware our stairs to the 2nd floor are steep. Assistance with Luggage is always available, however if this may be a problem please contact us directly to let us know. All rooms are non-smoking with hair dryer/complimentary toiletries & tea/coffee making facilities.

Superior Rooms consist of a double bed, en-suite with either bath or shower, tea/coffee making facilities, hair dryer, TV and complimentary toiletries. One of our Superior Rooms is a 'Cottage Room' which is to the side of the main building. It is a split level room with bedroom and en-suite toilet & shower on the ground floor, and a sitting area upstairs. The other rooms are located in the main building. If guests have a preference of room, please contact the hotel directly. Please be aware our stairs to the 2nd floor are steep. Assistance with Luggage is always available, however if this may be a problem please contact us directly to let us know! This room is a Dog-Friendly Space.

This standard double room features an private bathroom (bath only), color television, a hair dryer and tea & coffee making facilities. The room is on the second floor of the main building and has a lovely view (steep stairs to climb). Please be aware our stairs to the 2nd floor are steep. The room has a low beam across the ceiling and a low entry door which makes it not suitable for tall guests.

It was a good stay and the car park was good, but make sure you don't fall into the same trap as we
2.0Location was great, room and breakfast was okay
− The staff told us that they would register our car on their iPad, as the iPad or the network was not working when we arrived. We were surprised later when we received a letter from the car rental company saying that we had to pay £100 as a fee. I contacted the hotel via Booking.com, by phone, and by email, but never received a response. This was very disappointing as it was their fault and cost me a lot of money (not to mention the price of the hotel itself). So beware — they might not actually help you even if they say they will. I would be happy to withdraw my criticism if they contacted me and reimbursed me for this amount.
Adequate , convenient location
7.0Family with 2year old put on top floor very steep steps . Not a good idea at all Breakfast was average wide variety but lacked quality

Fantastic location and the pub food is good too.

Please be aware that when booking a stay with The Kings Arms Hotel, due to its nature and age, the building has many stairs, some of which are very steep. As a result, it may not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility.
Please call the Hotel if you think this might cause an issue. The Hotel staff will always do what they can to accommodate your needs.
Please note that all rooms except the Triple Room can only be accessed via steep stairs and are located on the second floor.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance.
