Wonderful Hotel

The hotel and location were great. There are many restaurants and shops in easy walking distance. Esplanade Park is right across the street. More importantly, the entire staff was amazing, from the front desk people to the breakfast room staff to the room cleaning people. Most notably, people at the front desk were friendly, knowledgeable, and a joy to talk with. As this was our first time in Quebec City, we had many questions. They took the time to determine what adventures we would like and then recommend options to us. All of their suggestions were right on target. The hotel's free breakfast was a positive surprise. We were expecting a limited offering, requiring us to find a local restaurant each morning. But what we found was a satisfying array of yogurt, fruits, oatmeal, baked goods, coffee, and tea. The young man and woman who kept this process rolling were wonderfully friendly and accommodating. We stayed on the third floor. While there is no elevator, we did not find the stairs to be a problem. The hotel staff will gladly carry up (and down) any heavy bags you have. You can park temporarily to load/unload right in front of the hotel. The hotel has arrangements with a garage for longer parking that's not a long walk.
