A very nice location and accommodation. The food was very good and breakfast excellent.

The room was quite large and airy with a nice view to the front

− The bath/shower as the curtain made it difficult to shower. The spring mattress on the bed was lumpy.

Quiet rural hotel, relaxing and friendly. Within good reach of coast and Castle Howard further inland.

Lovely property in rural area of North Yorkshire. Quiet with pretty gardens and open space. Room was spacious with a good sized ensuite. Tasty evening meals with good choice and excellent breakfasts freshly cooked. Staff helpful and friendly.

− Just a slight mishap as staff busy, but on second morning only received one cooked breakfast due to order mishap. Partner had eaten his by the time mine arrived. Otherwise no complaints.

Great room, lovely and peaceful. Alison was excellent - friendly and chatty.

− It was very hot (not fault of hotel). Whilst a fan was provided, it was not enough during the night.
