Another great holiday in Cyprus
10.0
We have been to the Cosmelenia many times over the past 8 years and have recently returned from another holiday there. We have returned so many times because Cornelia and her staff work incredibly hard to be welcoming, hospitable and friendly. They go above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable. We stayed self catering this year but have also used their half board option in the past. Both options have provided us with delicious meals with large portions. The pool and surrounding area was clean and well maintained. Cornelia and her staff spend time and effort to get to know the family. A family member struggles with mobility and Cornelia helps by arranging a mobility scooter hire. This supports her accessing and sightseeing this beautiful island. When I got married in Cyprus, Cornelia and Antonis even supported us with this special event. Thank you Cornelia for another fantastic holiday. I will see you again next year.
Loved this Hotel

We just came home from this lovely hotel and had a brilliant time, We come to this hotel twice a year and have done for many years, its comfortable quiet and close to beaches water park and shops, only a bus ride away to go into Ayia Napa Which cost 2 euros, if you want to party you need to go into Ayia Napa or book one of the many hotels nearer to the centre, we ate in the Cosmelenia every night as we usually do, as the food is excellent, although we have tried many other restaurant's and always come back to the Cosmelenia, as the food is as good if not better than some of the other restaurant's we have tried, and the portion sizes are more than adequate, the staff are very friendly and cannot do enough to make your holiday as comfortable and enjoyable as they can, In all honesty this is a 3* apartment complex that has many returning guests that go for the peace and quiet and a safe environment to have a relaxing trouble free holiday, and is not suited to people who want to party 24/7, or want 5* service at 3* prices, we have tried many of the hotels over the past 20 years or so and find that the Cosmelenia provides the best value for money, As for the staff they have the same staff who return every season which means they are obviously very fair with the people who they employ, the management will not tolerate people who do not play by the rules but will always try to correct any complaints, I would like to thank Cornelia and her staff for the service we receive every time we stay and look forward to seeing you again next year.
Awful. Unfriendly management. There is one woman who is the manager as well as an awful maybe her husband?

Where do I start. First of all we arrived as a family of 8 at around 10/10:30pm and had booker 10 days all inclusive. There was 8 of us in 3 rooms. We had booked one as an assistance room which we paid extra for. There was no wet room and a step to get into the room and no hand rails to hold onto. We also paid for all inclusive when we booked the holiday which was around £8000 for all of us. We went for breakfast and it was all either frozen or microwaved food which tasted awful. And considering it was “all inclusive” you were brought a menu each meal time and there was one page to pick from with about 5 choices for each meal and you could only have one plate of food for each meal (in the menu it had a sticker saying 1 plate per person! In capital letters and explanation marks) which is clearly not all inclusive as advertised. If you didn’t like the food you had no other option, baring in mind we had kids with us and you know how fussy kids can be.We ended up having to go out and buy food for the kids, which is wrong. We booked all inclusive because your supposed to get all different options and be allowed what you want. The meal sizes were also very small especially the dessert it was a tiny ice lolly no bigger than a small hand. On all inclusive you expect to be able to choose what you want and to get snacks inbetween. There were no snacks available through the day except toasties which were dry with the cheapest ham and cheese you can imagine. However the people who aren’t all inclusive and are paying for meals 3 times a day (which to be honest wasn’t cheap when I looked at the prices) got a full big menu with all different options. One of the days I missed breakfast, and lunch didn’t start until 12 so I ordered a toastie at around 11am and was told “no lunch is starting soon!” By the lady running the hotel. The lady running the hotel was awful she was so nasty. She gave us dirty looks whenever we went for a drink or sometimes she’d just ignore you and sit at the bar smoking and on her phone while your waiting for a drink. She just has such a bad attitude and never smiled, she made us feel like we didn’t belong there and that we were an inconvenience to her.We also witnessed her screaming at the bar man (who was absolutely lovely and couldn’t do enough for us) she was kicking boxes at him behind the bar in-front of customers. Screaming in his face “understand now” just nasty and vile behaviour towards her own staff members, which is wrong and also unprofessional. One of the days we sat down for lunch and the kitchen door was open and the chefs were screaming at each-other because non of the customers were eating the food, which didn’t surprise me at all. The room service was shocking. Considering we booked 10 days they didn’t change the bed sheets once. One of us had a nose bleed in one room and in another room one of us cut foot open the blood remained on the sheets the whole time we were there. Another thing is we didn’t get fresh towels every day, we were lucky to get them every 3 days. One day we had enough as we didn’t get any for 4 days so we went to reception and the woman running the hotel told us “no you can’t have one today.” Then another day one of us asked for toilet paper and had to wait three hours so we had to go in one of the other rooms. The bar was okay however if you are all inclusive you are only allowed the cheap off brand alcohol. You are not allowed any of the named spirits or beer unless you paid for them which is wrong as we paid for all inclusive for 8 people. They had a fridge with bottles of water, you had to pay 4 euros a bottle. Ice cream freezer £3.50 for a cheap twister lolly. Again we booked all inclusive which wasn’t cheap so all of this should have been included. The night we got there one of us is disabled and a few of us take tablets we asked for water for tablets and the woman running the hotel charged 8 euros. We said “it’s all inclusive can’t we please just have water” she gave us dirty looks and charged us for it at breakfast. The lady running it hates young girl/boy groups which is unusual. One night myself and my friends were sitting downstairs listening to the music (which every night she kept on till 1am) just singing and dancing and the other guests were happy and laughing with us, in fact they said aww yous have brought some life to the place! She came in shut the bar and switched it off. We asked her can we have it on a bit longer and she refused. You are running a hotel in ayia Napa which is a party island so you need to expect younger people. And we were very respectful to the hotel and other guests as I said the other guests said we brought life to the place. However the bar man who was working there was very kind he couldn’t do enough for us.Every morning he remembers what drinks we all had and brought them to us and kept asking how is your holiday, are you having a good time etc. He would always come over to check on us and see if we need anything and was very smiley laughing and joking with us, which the lady running it ended up telling him off for (you wouldn’t get that from the woman running it just snotty looks and huffing and puffing or turning away from you.)On our last day we asked can we keep the all inclusive until we get picked up at 8pm as we didn’t get it the day we got there because we arrive after 10pm and there’s no food and the bar shuts at 10pm. And she said no it stops at 12pm. So we had to order food to the hotel for our tea and she came over and told us to sit outside and eat as we are not allowed to eat our own food in the hotel. The whole hotel is just a miserable horrible atmosphere, no life to it at all.HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!
And if you do book this one DO NOT BOOK ALL INCLUSIVE!!!!! Biggest waste of money ever. Ayia Napa is a lovely place but this hotel is a big no go.
Great hotel great staff.

We arrived at 10 pm and were greeted with a smile and shown our room by the owner who was absolutely fantastic through the entire holiday.
The room was perfect, clean and had great views of the sea, didn't need anything else from the room which was cleaned spotless every day so no complaints.
The hotel is perfectly situated if you don't want to be in the heart of everything, there are lots of shops and restaurants within 5 mins walking distance and the new marina and waterpark are the same.
We didn't go all inclusive as we prefer to try different places but the food we had at the hotel was delicious and reasonably priced.
The staff were always helpful and friendly and on occasions went over and above for us which sometimes we haven't had at 5 star hotels, any requests we had they were more than happy to meet.
We are already planning to go back next year so that says a lot and will be the first time we have had a repeat visit to any hotel in Cyprus and have been going to Cyprus for 12 years.
I would rate the hotel and staff perfect and not to forget lolos he made my son's holiday after the pool.
It is s 3Star Hotel, but expected better.

Staff are friendly, and the place is kept clean. However, I was quite amazed that they had PAINTED the bath in white gloss paint! Including the plug hole! There were no plugs. We had to ask a number of times for someone to repair the shower head.
We were told that the management didn't like the cleaning staff to change towels or bedding too often.
Although the advert states there is a TV and hairdryer in the apartment, there wasn't. You had to pay extra for air conditioning.
The food was very basic, fish options were either calamari or fish fingers! They need to check what a continental breakfast and full English breakfast is. It would have been nice to have been able to have yoghurt and fruit for breakfast, rather than having to choose between the two!
It would also be appreciated if there were tables to eat meals in a smoking free area. Not everyone smokes whilst eating!
Apart from all this, it was a bed to sleep in, it was quiet and had a lovely view from the balcony.
Amazing Holiday

I would just like to say what a wonderful holiday we had. The location was fine, you could easily walk to the new harbour which was stunning or the locals beach. If you wanted Nissi beach or the stunning Landa beach it was 5 minutes on the bus which run every 15 mins (101 going and 102) coming back. This was 2 euros each no matter how far you wanted to go.
Atmosphere in the hotel was lovely, the staff were so friendly and you had just back ground music playing all day which was nice.
The rooms were basis but clean and to be fair the studios were big.
We were fully inclusive and what a treat. No buffet, literally menu comes out and everything cooked to eat. It was lovely. The evening meals were like going out for a meal, we had something different each day.
We will definetly return.
Thankyou for a lovely holiday, oh and the hotels dog, hes gorgeous
