Solid stay
10.0Our room was roomier than expected and cooler than expected, despite a heatwave outside. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was VERY clean. The inn was decorated in a combination of modern and Victorian-era styles that were usable without being fussy. We did not take advantage of the evening reception or the knowledgeable staff, but we did enjoy the porch swing out front. Our only “complaint” was the morning coffee was lackluster Keurig pods (please add some non-flavored non-decaf) and mushy apples. Definitely no dealbreakers for us. The parking was easy and the walk to the center of town was pleasant. Would definitely stay again, especially because of Laurie’s help with our complicated reservation situation.
Ghostly Experience
10.0Beautiful room. Nice continental breakfast. Great location! Nice, courteous, helpful staff. Resident ghosts were very friendly.
Fantastic weekend
10.0Great experience wonderful staff. Absolutely would stay again!!
Really overrated and needs some proper attention.
4.0Wish we could give the Inn a higher rating but it was an odd, frustrating stay. The good: location, history. The bad: unfortunately mostly everything else. We arrived and couldn’t get in despite being sent the code. Had to stand there and try and call and text to get a response. Finally a lady arrived and was helping another group with the same issue - wrong codes were allocated. We finally get in and we aren’t told anything about it breakfast or anything else. The room badly needed an update. It was sort of clean but it was clearly cursory and there were webs and dirt in the corners. It’s also not a cheap stay. The parking situation was also frustrating. We went out for a while and came back and a group of people had two vehicles when there’s only one allocation per room - but the Inn doesn’t enforce this so what’s the point? Breakfast was also terrible. We paid extra (the only place we stayed out of around 19 on our trip where we had to) so we expected something great. We got cold potatoes, a tiny slice of egg bake, a couple of cut up pieces of fruit and a slither of tiny hard pie. Really bizarre. Lots of staff around but everyone seemed inexperienced and incredibly stressed. I loved Gettysburg, and I’m glad we only had one night here before we moved to a better accomodation. Really disappointed as online it seems great.
