2.0Avoid this hotel — suspicious verification request and cancellation 3 days before arrival. I booked Hôtel de France Gare de Lyon Bastille through Booking.com. A few days before arrival, they asked me to confirm my reservation through a strange email address outside the normal Booking.com process. Booking.com warns guests not to do this. I tried calling and messaging the hotel several times, but they did not answer or respond. Then my reservation was cancelled only 3 days before my trip, leaving me without accommodation at the last minute. Very unsafe and unreliable experience.
The hotel does not honor reservations
2.0The hotel does not honor reservations. After you book through Booking.com, they ask you to cancel your reservation and pay a higher price on their own website. They even threaten that your reservation will not be honored if you refuse to do so. This is an unacceptable and misleading business practice.

Good one-night stay close to the Lyon station
9.0The proximity to Gare de Lyon (10mins if with large suitcase). Professional staff, compact yet all-inclusive room. Bed and shower are extremely comfortable. The hotel offers baggage storage. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby.
− If you wish to go for sightseeing, it is a little further from the city centre.
