Check in was very efficient. Staff were lovely and friendly. I booked a double room but was given a twin. I booked a table for dinner when I booked the room, well in advance. However when we got seated the table wasn't set and I felt we were an after thought... I had a gift voucher for dinner and prosecco but were not given the prosecco even though I mentioned it when I booked... We weren't offered dessert and I had to ask, again i felt uncomfortable having to do this. The next morning, breakfast was lovely and the staff pleasant. All in all it was an enjoyable stay but i still felt an inconvenience.

Food was fabulous, beds uncomfortable (squeaky springs). Breakfast service poor

Pokey room and poor menu. Overpriced

2.0

The room was small and pokey with a double bed crammed in so tightly there was hardly room to squeeze between the wall qand the bed to get in. There was only 1 set of towels for 2 of us despite all the photos on the screen in the bar showng 2 sets per room. Side tables were rickety, towel rail was coming away from the wall. Socket was too far from mirror to be able to look in mirror whilst drying hair. 3 random pictures on the wall we mismatched and mishung. This claims to be a dog frindly hotel but despite being charged extra for our dog there was nothing provided for her = dogs tolerated. Unimaginative menu and not everything was available. Good breakfast but sausages and black pudding were supermarket standard. Overpriced for what we got.
