Perfect Flinders base

Unfortunately our stay was cut short by bushfire but the day and a half we spent there was nice. It is a great location to explore flinders Chase National park which is magnificent and nearby Hanson Beach is stunning. The retreat even has some small nature walks around the property that we saw some great birdlife on (they have their own bird blind so bring your camera). The bbq area is great and we enjoyed some home cooked steaks so don't be afraid to ask the restaurant to borrow what you need - they were very helpful. The manager handled the bushfire scare really professionally and calmly and we were upset to leave - we did not get to try the restaurant which some locals in town told us is great.

Staff was so helpful and beautiful, hotel location is excellent, Rooms had everything you need.aircon makes a massive noise in the room, we were there new years eve and the food at the restaurant was a bit disappointing! Over all a lovely place.

Must rise from thw ashes

Nature all around!

We tried early check in but the room wasn’t ready. When we finally did check in we got a little tour of the property, complete with a wallaby chomping on some plants nearby. The room itself had a funky, musty smell but was clean overall. The heater worked well, though the power tripped a couple of times (kind of expected that far out in nature!) Dinner in the on-site restaurant was delicious. Breakfast was good too with a buffet. Overall a great, affordable stay in the heart of nature!
