Overpriced and disappointing
3.0The beds were comfy and it’s close to the beach.
− Found the hostel to be so expensive for what it was and really disappointing. There is no free luggage storage, I was getting the greyhound bus at 5pm so after check out I paid $8 for one locker which I think is steep. I got an email from drifter during my stay to say that people from the hostel are booking on a kayaking tour and to book through the drifter-link so we can all meet in reception and then go together. I booked and showed up in the reception at the right time like the email said. I waited but no one showed up so asked a staff member if I’m in the right place. She said she didn’t know anything about it, I showed her the email and confirmed it’s definitely from drifter but she hasn’t heard about it so told me to just go on my own. I was disappointed I’d been recommended to book a specific tour through them to go as a group so I wasn’t on my own and when it comes to actually going no one is there or helpful as to why they’ve emailed that and then not showed up. Also the website photos are creepy! They look so pervy and really weird for a hostel website showing the rooms? Wouldn’t recommend staying.
