Excellent location with some external challenges.
7.0The location is perfect for getting on the subway or walking to a Broadway show. We love staying in Hall’s kitchen for access to all the eating establishments.
− The continental breakfast was mediocre at best. I had received ahead of time a note telling me about the protest in front of the hotel but I had no idea of the amount of noise that was being made. That’s not the hotel‘s fault but it did put a damper on the stay. One positive was that the hotel put us on the 23rd floor so we weren’t able to hear the noise from our room. The other irritating thing was there was no way to plug in the hairdryer in the bathroom. The outlet was cut in half by a glass shelf. Because the plug is grounded, there’s only one way for it to fit, and it would not fit top or bottom. There are also no outlets near the other mirror in the room. It was challenging to do your hair.

7.0− I know it wasn't the hotel's fault, but staff was on strike and staff was banging drums, blowing whistles, yelling through bullhorns, and being intimidating. It seemed to put the staff that was working into a frenzy.
