The fact that there was a nice bar downstairs and a great view on the water

− There was no air-conditioning in the rooms and the windows didn’t open up to let air it felt like I was suffocating

Staff went out of their way to help us and make our stay comfortable. Great location, free parking, extensive breakfast menu (all freshly cooked), comfortable room with great view of the Marina. Will definitely come back when next in the area.

Other than the heat in the room there was no other problem

We were there during a heat wave so it was very hot in the room , we were provided with 2 fans but air con would have helped

The location is great and the staff in the bar and restaurant area were polite and happy. The parking is free when you check in. The bathroom is lovely and clean as was the room.

− It was roasting in our room which we payed £170 for one night as it had an outside terrace. However all but one of the doors were broken and screwed up. The one door left was extremely difficult to open and if my wife and I had to escape it might have proved problematic. A receptionist came up with some tools and opened the remaining doors and windows but clearly they were in a bad state of disrepair and needed replacing. This led to us staying in for the night as we had no intention of having someone come to the room to screw the doors and windows shut. I complained to reception and they said there was nothing they could do and I’d have to call booking.com who in turn called the hotel. Were told by the representative that the hotel said that if we vacated the room we would be given a full refund but having had a couple of beers and having nowhere to go I said this was totally unacceptable. In the end we had a refund of half the cost which in my mind is really poor!! Anyway here’s a warning if you pay for room 12 - make sure you can get out!!
