My little secret garden hotel in Cascais
10.0Stumbled upon this place while wandering through Cascais and it honestly felt like finding a little secret garden. The Pergola is tucked away on a quiet street, but you’re only a couple of minutes’ walk from the beach and all the busy spots, which is the perfect balance. The building itself is just beautiful, all that old-world charm, hand-painted tiles, and a garden that’s so peaceful you completely forget you're in the middle of town. We spent quite a bit of time just sitting out there with a glass of the port wine they leave in the room, which was a really nice touch. Just a heads up if you’re booking: it’s an older historic building, so there isn’t an elevator and some rooms have a few little steps inside them, so keep that in mind if you have heavy luggage or mobility issues. Other than that, it’s a total gem. If you’re looking for somewhere with real character that feels like a home rather than a cookie-cutter hotel, this is definitely it. Will be recommending it to friends.

4.0Needs a full renovation. Kitchen was way overpriced and rooms were small and walls paper thin. Breakfast was average. Sorry.

The staff were superb at all levels, they couldn’t do anymore to help. Outstanding.
