− This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had, and I would not recommend Hotel Oscar to anyone. The photos on Booking.com are extremely misleading and do not accurately reflect the condition of the rooms. What I arrived to was nowhere near what I expected based on the listing. The behaviour of some staff members left me feeling discriminated against and unwelcome. As a paying guest, I expected to be treated with respect and professionalism, but that was not my experience. The Wi-Fi was unreliable and frequently unusable, making it difficult to stay connected throughout my stay. The building itself has virtually no sound insulation. Every bit of street noise comes straight into the room, making it almost impossible to get a decent night’s sleep. On top of that, the timber floors creak constantly, so you hear every footstep from other guests throughout the night. The most shocking part of my stay was seeing rats running down the hallway. This was completely unacceptable and raised serious concerns about the hotel’s cleanliness and hygiene standards. I also had concerns about the safety and privacy of my belongings. I did not feel comfortable leaving my luggage in the room, which is not something any guest should ever have to worry about. Overall, this hotel was a huge disappointment and exceptionally poor value for money. Between the misleading advertising, poor customer service, unreliable Wi-Fi, excessive noise, apparent hygiene issues, and concerns about security, I would strongly recommend staying somewhere else. Amsterdam has many hotels that offer a far better experience for a similar price. I would never stay here again and cannot recommend this hotel.

Reserve your parking space in advance at Q-Park Waterlooplein or Q-Park Amsterdam Centraal. Hotel guests park at a discount and are guaranteed a parking space. So you park close by, you are sure of a parking space and you do not have to pass the pay machines afterwards. Driving in and out is easy on the basis of license plate number.
