Good but something is lacking

My room was clean, comfortable and well equipped. I had a good night's sleep. The location is very convenient.

− I think gluten free provision could be improved. I gave several days notice of my requirements but there was no gluten free breakfast cereals and no gluten free biscuits in the room. Overall, although efficient, I felt there was a friendliness and warmth lacking.

Beautiful setting and hotel and a great night’s sleep with lovely staff.

Beautiful historic building, lovingly kept true to its roots. Spacious, clean rooms with one of the comfiest beds I’ve slept in and a lovely range of items at breakfast. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

− It would have been nice to have a curtain or door in the family room (room 3) to separate the child’s sleeping area off.

Great location, Shame about everything else

Great location. The lady at breakfast was friendly and cheerful.

− The receptionist was too busy on her mobile and was extremely uninterested in booking us in. Flower beds outside hadn't seen any attention in years. Very old fashioned decor.
