8.0Staff very pleasant and helpful. Menu somewhat eclectic, and not necessarily what one would expect from a hotel restaurant, but food was of good standard . Originally we were given a lodge with disabled wet room rather than a family bathroom, so had to be assigned another lodge. Lodges are in a wonderfully peaceful woodland setting, a short walk from main building. The Lodge itself was cosy and spacious but several amenities are missing or not working. Eg no drawer space in twin room, boiler/heating couldnt be adjusted. Individually these were not big issues, but collectively it prevents being able to give a 5 star review. We would come here again, but would hope these issues were resolved to make for a more seamless experience.

6.0We stayed for two nights, the stairs didn’t get hoovered, confetti from the wedding was visible. Bedroom carpet was stained, the dining chairs were covered in stains, breakfast was below average. Shame for the price we paid, we were expecting better.
