Sands is an awesome family friendly spot that is worth a stay!
10.0The property is beautiful and shared with the Cavalier hotel next door. They have a decent restaurant on site that offers room service. They have two pools, a spa, and chimneys that line the bluff overlooking the ocean. They provide wood for the chimneys and it’s an awesome addition that really makes this location stand out. My family has stayed here a number of times and it never fails to disappoint. The location is also pet friendly which is a must for us. Check it out. You won’t be disappointed.
− The property is a little dated but the beds are comfy. Ask for extra towels and pillows. You’ll need them.

4.0The bed was comfortable.
− The room i originally booked was not clean. The bedding had stains and mold on it. The carpet was filthy. The furniture in the room was old and honestly some of it should have been thrown out a long time ago such as the office chair that was in the room. When I went to reception to let them know about the dirty bedding, they did put me in a different room where the bedding appeared to be clean but the carpet in the second room was filthy as well. The furniture in the second room was old and worn out. There also was not fully stocked bathroom tissue. There were 2 rolls, both almost gone and both were folded to a point. Instead of taking the time to fold the toilet paper which was almost gone, they could have just replaced it with a new roll for the next traveler staying there. The toilet was extremely low to the floor do if you are a person that has mobility issues, such as difficulty getting up and down, maneuvering yourself in tbe bathroom may not be an easy task. Lastly, tbe shower head is extremely low so if you're a taller person, you will have to bend down to get a full shower. The location and the amenities that are offered are great and thats what draws people in but the disregard for the cleanliness and the functionality of the restroom is very disappointing.

8.0San Simeon is the best, quiet. Room clean, bathroom great. Towels love towels. Shower curtain need different kind kept sticking to your body. Love beach access. Would stay again.
− Clean the windows be nice to look out, adjust windows to allow sea breeze thru, screen didn't fit i believe window not able to open much. Spray down you walk ways.
