10.0− Everything was wonderful; we were very happy and didn't encounter any issues. The only thing is that if there were information about the ingredients of the dishes, it would be easier for us when selecting and serving ourselves.
Beautiful and relaxing
9.0Beautiful resort. Lovely friendly staff. Great swimming pools. Amazing food. The perfect spot for some R&R with unspoilt views.
− Location not great the best as in the middle of nowhere but bus stop outside hotel to take you into Kos town. For the beach you need beach shoes due to big boulders and beach could do with warning signs.
Relaxing stay
10.0Beautiful hotel clean and tidy , staff can’t do enough for you We stayed in room 1101 2 bedroom apartment perfectly situated between 2 options for pools and sunbathing Good selection of food from breakfast all the way through to Dinner Good selection of spirits & cocktails throughout the whole hotel ant it’s many bars Evening entertainment hit and miss but I guess that’s expected with a multi cultural visitors Big thanks in particular to Dennis & Christina who welcomed us for 5 o clock beers at the top pool every evening
Relaxing family holiday
8.0Just spent 14days and overall good despite a few easy changes that could be made. We had a bungalow which was great as they are central and less steps. Rooms fairly spacious. Lovely setting, views and grounds although nowhere nearby to walk to. Staff friendly and helpful. Evening entertainment basic but Greek night is good. Very limited activities for kids, almost nothing unless they are very young. Food ok but coffee needs to be hotter and water needs to colder and more easily accessible. Queues at the bar for water is silly as often people having cocktails. Just make water and soft drinks/beer self service. TIP take some water flasks. It is always windy mid Summer so elastic towel bands are useful, the wind is welcome when it is +35C. It’s a great hotel probably better suited for couples or families where kids can entertain themselves. Just about enough sunbeds but you have to queue at 8am. Maybe easier outside school holidays. Overall a good hotel and we had a relaxing holiday. Just needs a few easy changes.
Surpassed all of our expectations. A lovely resort for a family of 5.
10.0This hotel surpassed all of my expectations. We are a family of 5 with children aged 16, 13 and 9. Before going my worries were there wouldn't be enough for the children, the food would be disappointing and the hotel would not really feel like a 5 star resort. I've stayed at 5 star resorts before and in my opinion this definitely feels like a 5 star resort and I absolutely loved it; I think it's actually my favourite hotel I've stayed in. There are a lot of steps, but I quite liked the steps because everywhere I walked I had a different stunning view, the views are absolutely breathtaking; and the walking up and down steps removed some of my guilt I felt for eating and drinking so much too! My husband used the gym of the sister hotel a few times and was very happy with it. He was allowed to take the children too as long as they were accompanied, and so they joined him one time. Everywhere is kept so clean, and the service is absolutely fantastic too. The staff at reception, the cleaners, the staff in the restaurants and bars, and the animation team were all so delightful, so lovely and welcoming, and very happy to address any issue at all. I'm so grateful to all of the staff for making our holiday so enjoyable, they are a truly wonderful team. I really enjoyed the cocktails and I thought the food was lovely, and I was surprised at how much variation there was each day from lunch to dinner, and from day-to-day. I really did enjoy the food and the drinks. Our children had a wonderful time, they do prefer keeping more to themselves, and although they didn't join in with any of the events or activities or watch many of the evening shows, they enjoyed being spectators occasionally and they all had a great time, especially helping themselves to treats. It was a big plus they could use inflatables as our favourite pool was mostly deep. We never struggled to get a sun lounger and many guests would free up beds at different times in the day so we never had that horrid feeling that we need to rush and bagsy them - I really do loathe that. We decided to not venture out of the resort, we wanted to make the most of just being there for a week. For our family, this resort had enough entertainment, and part of the reason we loved it so much, was that it didn't feel completely overrun with children and too much overpowering entertainment. We felt there was a lovely balance. You do need the water shoes for the sea, I was grateful to have picked up that tip from reading other reviews. The little shop sells some useful things, we bought some towel pegs so we could create more shade over our sun-loungers. We had a room that was, we think, the most remote room on the whole resort. At first we weren't entirely happy with it because we felt a bit too out of the way and were daunted at how much walking we'd have to do, but we grew to absolutely adore it and to feel so grateful and lucky. We loved the views we had and the privacy. We did hear the entertainment of the sister hotel next door - but we loved it, it never went on too late and we really enjoyed listening to their entertainment it was really good. Our room was 830, if you're happy to walk a bit more and need to accommodate 4/5 people, we think its awesome.
A Wonderful Stay, Again!
8.0We’ve just returned from another brilliant holiday, and once again, this hotel left us with very little to criticise. In fact, on our last day we were discussing what we would write in our review and genuinely struggled to find anything to address. We always try to leave an informative review, as we rely heavily on TripAdvisor when planning our own holidays, so hopefully this helps someone else making their decision. Location - The hotel is in a peaceful location on the edge of the island. There isn’t much close by, which could be a negative if you’re looking for lots of restaurants, bars and shops within walking distance. For us however, it’s actually one of the things we love. We have always sourced our own transport when on holiday, as we enjoy exploring and seeing as much of the island as possible. We like being able to spend the day in the busier areas and then return to the hotel, where it feels peaceful and relaxed. For us, the location works perfectly. Atmosphere - We tend to experience the hotel atmosphere mainly at breakfast, sometimes lunch, and on the days when we choose to have a pool or beach day. We spent these days in the adult-only areas and on the beach, where we found the atmosphere really pleasant and relaxed. There’s enough background noise from other guests to give it a nice holiday feel, without it ever feeling overly busy or intrusive. Room - We were really happy with our room allocation again this time. Once we had checked in, we were escorted by buggy to our first-floor bungalow room, which had a lovely sea and pool area view. We already know the room layouts from a previous stay, and they suit us perfectly. There is plenty of space and importantly plenty of storage, something that is always appreciated when you’re travelling with two cases and of course, a woman’s case of holiday essentials! We had heard a few grumbles from other guests about the showers but we honestly had no issues with ours at all. It was great. Value for Money - This is probably the trickiest category for us personally because we aren’t your typical all-inclusive guests. We spend much more time outside the resort than in it because we love exploring and we eat out every evening. We also don’t drink excessive amounts of alcohol or spend our evenings taking part in the hotel entertainment, so we probably don’t get the same financial value from an all-inclusive package as some guests might. However, we choose all-inclusive for the quality of the resort and importantly, the sense of security and convenience that comes with it. Taking the overall standard of the hotel, facilities, service and location into account, we feel it represents good value for money for Greece. Cleanliness - We had absolutely no complaints about cleanliness. The pool areas were thoroughly cleaned every day. From our balcony, we could see the lovely team of ladies working every morning and we spoke to them most days when heading out for our morning sea walk. They were always friendly and clearly took pride in keeping the areas looking their best. The public areas were consistently clean/presentable and our room was always cleaned to a very high standard. We aren’t particularly messy guests, but you could still see the attention to detail that went into keeping the room fresh and tidy. There was only one slightly bizarre incident that still baffles us. Our unused robes somehow disappeared about three or four days into our stay! We hadn’t used them, so it didn’t affect us at all but we couldn’t work out why they were removed. We also had a gecko as a roommate for one night but we actually loved this! (Gecko was absolutely fine and not harmed!) Service - For us, the service is one of the hotel’s biggest strengths. It was impeccable at every corner and was something that really stood out to us on our first visit. We were pleased to find that it stood out just as much this time around. The staff were consistently attentive and helpful, with reception in particular being excellent. Even the vehicle rental company we used through the hotel provided fantastic service. It’s one of the big reasons we love holidaying in Greece — the warmth, attentiveness and genuine level of service really make a difference. Overall - All in all, we had a brilliant holiday and would happily return. We genuinely found ourselves struggling to identify any significant negatives when discussing this review on our last day. The only thing worth mentioning is the situation with the sunbeds. The information provided at check-in clearly states that sunbeds shouldn’t be reserved until the pool opens. Unfortunately, some guests were ignoring this and reserving them beforehand and by the end of our stay, some were even coming down in their pyjamas to do it! To be fair to the hotel, the staff cleaning the pool areas did make an effort to keep the sunbeds back and prevent people from using them early. However, each day the situation seemed to be starting earlier and earlier. Aside from that, we really couldn’t fault our stay. A beautiful, peaceful setting, excellent facilities, immaculate surroundings and above all, genuinely impeccable service. For us, this is a hotel that gets so many important things right, and we’re already very glad that we chose to return.
