Pleasant stay in this hotel

I stayed in the hotel for a few weeks. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was clean and towels etc were changed frequently by staff. Tv was a bit small but fine for my to little boys. Despite having a bar downstairs there was little disturbance from noisy hotel guests. The restaurant was not open during the most of our stay but there is an excellent hot snack shack opposite the hotel. The restaurant opened at the end of our stay and only had a sandwich so a rating cannot really be given.The hotel staff were excellent and attentive if I required anything. One member of staff went above and beyond with being helpful and my little boys were very happy. I will not post her name but she was a credit to the Shurland Hotel. Over all the hotel was fine.It is basic, fairly priced and great places to see nearby for visitors. I recommend this hotel and will if needed stay again

Lovely staff bringing this hotel back to life

The ladies Storm and Sophie made me feel welcome instantly. Such friendly girls and the atmosphere was really good tonight. Drinks reasonably priced.. My room was clean and comfortable. Known this hotel for 10 years and this was the best I've seen it in years.

Good for the money

Parents stayed here the weekend when visiting. They said the hotel rooms were very dated but more than adequate, and good value for money. The breakfast was great and the lady in reception really helpful One night though they had an issue with booming music. When my dad went down to the bar to ask very politely if they could turn it down a bit, they were advised it was a Friday night and only 10.30.....there were 2 people in the bar and the barmaid in her dressing ground, classy! Couldn't have been any ruder, shame really

Some staff helpful, some not. Had problems with the car & couldn’t go out for food on the first night there & as they do not do evening meals until March, ended up going to cost cutters across the road for sandwiches ( which were very nice). Reception said could not make us a sandwich as no chef available. TV wouldn’t work, on 3rd night, 2 staff tried their best, even looked for a replacement TV, but no luck. No hot water on the morning we left for a shower. Reception just said sorry. Had room at front of building, traffic noise loud. Cleaner could use some training as could the decorator. One of the light switches next to bed didn’t work. Lino in bathroom split & lifting. Light above bathroom mirror not working. Area around handle in bath, broken & plastered over. Skirting boards & radiator in bathroom very dirty. Could go on, but……….. Very disappointed. Would not recommend to anyone or go back there.

Great spa / hotel Friendly staff amd great bar :) would recommend. Looking forward to trying out the restaurant on my next visit. Would be fun to watch World Cup games there

This hotel is a shambles rude staff I wouldn’t even give a 1 star bathroom and shower was disguising under the bed looked liked it hadn’t been hoovered for a while.
