Would highly recommend staying somewhere else, but if you want to save $20, it's an option.
4.0The cleaning staff did a wonderful job. The room was clean, and the breakfast was, available I'll say. I didn't have enough room on the next line, so I'll start what I didn't like in this box. If you want to save $20, it's not a bad option. However, if you want anything of quality, I'd highly recommend the Hampton directly next door. I stayed here for one night, and ran into several things that simply made my stay quite unpleasant. Chronologically, I checked into the hotel, then had a rehearsal dinner for a wedding that night. I came back to my room after hours, and there was a phone that said "Dial '0' for after hours entry". I dialed zero, and the staff member that picked up the phone was clearly displeased that I'd followed these directions, and rather hastily told me I needed to go around to the back entry for after hours entry. He then told me "You need to read the signs, ok, goodbye" which I found rather unprofessional; in addition to this, I looked high and low in the room with that phone and could not find any sign directing me to the back of the hotel for after hours entry. I could feel the springs in my bed, and the pillows were all severely lumpy, making for an unpleasant night's sleep. The wall with my sink was shared with another room as well, causing me to clearly hear whenever the adjacent room had water running in their sink. This didn't wake me up, but it was difficult to fall asleep with water running sporadically. I then decided I was going to try to cancel my reservation for the following night, and stay at the Hampton next door. It was a Saturday that I woke up around 7:30 or so, and went to the front desk to talk about this option. I rang the bell for a staff member to come to the front desk, and waited for an hour before someone came to the desk. - Continued below -
− - Continued - When someone did finally come to the desk, they told me that they couldn't help me and that I had to call Booking.com, through whom I'd booked the rooms. I did, and when I explained my situation, the representative at Booking.com said they needed to connect with the property to discuss whether or not I could cancel that night's stay. After several contact attempts by phone, again, there was nobody at the desk. After three times re-contacting Booking.com, phone contact was eventually made, and it turned out there was no property manager on site at all, therefore the on site staff could not update reservations. This surprised me, as it was a Saturday during the summer time, I would have thought there would always be a property manager on site, but nevertheless this was the final hurdle. I eventually decided to forfeit my night's stay, and book a room at the Hampton that was about 800 ft away from this property, and my stay was unbelievably better over there for not much greater of a price.
I had a wonderful and positive experience staying at the Dutch Inn!
10.0I really enjoyed my stay at the Dutch Inn. The staff was so accommodating, helpful, and friendly . I needed an early check in and was easily accommodated with it . The room was beautiful and so clean. I was so impressed with the entire experience! I would definitely stay there again!
