Best Western Fort Lauderdale Airport Cruise Port♡

Much better than expected

This was so close to being a five star review but just a couple of things stopped it from getting full marks. I will start by saying that we almost never stayed after reading a couple of recent reviews, I am so please we did. Our first image was not good, the area is not the most affluent, and does appear to be run down. Our first contact with the guy at reception was not the most welcoming, but he did let us check in early and gave us a bottle of water each to take to the room. He also pointed out the free coffee and the area where the courtesy breakfast is served. If I refer back to some of the recent reviews I was not expecting much, but the room was clean bright and had pleasant of amenities, fridge microwave coffee machine, hair drier, iron, plus plenty of clean towels. We walked across to the local dollar tree and secured a few snacks to eat and sat by the pool, the pool area was clean and quiet. After a good nights sleep and a warm shower we went to investigate the courtesy breakfast, this was indeed impressive with cereals fruit, waffles, toast, sausage and omelet. For the price this was a good pre cruise stay

Poor customer service.

Was left waiting 2 hours for pickup from the airport, and still no pickup. Called twice and I was told that, at first, it would be an hour, then the second call, I was told they were there, and no they were not. The receptionist said they would be back soon to pick us up. Waited another hour, and we ended up taking a taxi to the hotel. Hotel was 10 minutes away. Spoke to the receptionist, and I told her how upset I was, and she didn't look at me, or respond. I will never go to Best Western again.

Second Visit

This was our second stay at this hotel and it was just as good as the first. Great location to cruise port and airport. Breakfast was great. Staff are friendly and helpful. Room comfortable and clean. Shuttle service from the airport to hotel is a bit slow. We will stay here again on our next cruise.

Good stay before your cruise

Good stay before your cruise. Comfortable rooms, clean pool, great included breakfast, excellent staff, friendly. Hotel needs renovations, tired decor and very old carpets in corridors and rooms. Beach close by, restaurants and bars about a 20 minute walk along beach.

Convenient to airport/cruiseport

We stayed one night after landing in Ft. Lauderdale and before heading down to Key West. This hotel is very accessible to the airport/cruise port. Hotel is very clean and staff is very helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend if you are flying in or out of Ft. Lauderdale and need a place to stay.

It could be better

Stayed pre-cruise. The hotel is dated and the staff were not friendly. We took a taxi to the cruise port instead of using their shuttle as it was less expensive. There are better options to stay at than this hotel.
