Excellent location and design of the hotel
9.0Location is excellent, close to Baker street underground and many shops, cafes and restaurants in the vicinity. The hotel has a very cozy feel, mysterious, detail oriented. It is quite busy all day, with business meetings and people around. I liked their signature cocktails too.
− Breakfast can get very busy and they were very obviously understaffed. The breakfast is ala cart, which can get a bit repetitive after a few days.
Loved the atmosphere & the staff made us feel very welcome
9.0Loved the breakfast, lots of vegetarian options.
− Bar was a little pricey
Excellent stay in a lovely neighborhood
10.0Beautiful hotel and facilities, friendly staff, comfortable and spacious room. Convenient for traveling on the Underground
Comfortable hotel with excellent staff and good restaurant in a convenient location
9.0The staff at this hotel were superb. Both the reception staff and the restaurant staff were exceptional. The restaurant food was very good. The room and bathroom were well designed and comfortable.
− The first room we were given was overlooking a busy road. It was noisy at night particularly because there was a loose manhole cover which made a noise every time a vehicle drove over it. The next morning we asked to change our room. This was no problem. We were given a room on the opposite side of the hotel on a much quieter street, which caused no noise issues. Breakfast was not a buffet. One was limited by what one could choose on the menu but the food was excellent quality.
Great location, they busy because of it.
6.0I chose the hotel as the location is perfect. It is ideally located from Baker Street Station and has an entrance onto Chiltern Street, Marlybone. I would stay at the hotel again only because of the location. The hotel is also very nicely curated and maintained. I appreciated having Aircon in a London hotel room, it's not as common as one would think.
− I arrived at the hotel as a stranger and left as a stranger, I stayed for six nights. No one in the hotel wears a name badge, the team are not interested in creating a connection with the guests. So it's all transactional... and to me, this is sad and such a missed opportunity. Especially in a big city like London. At the same time, I cannot commend any staff for excellent service as they all anonymous. I stayed in room 115 - it is noisy. You hear everything from the corridor. I booked a Bed & Breakfast rate, every single morning I was asked for my room number. (usually by the same two people) One morning I went down and was told I had to wait for a table to become available as I was only one guest and they could not give me a four seater. There were two empty four seaters. The actual quality of the breakfast is not great, next time I wouldn't pay for breakfast and rather go to a local restaurant. There are plenty in close proximity.
