Grest dtay in an interesting location.
10.0Gem of a homestay inside Chengyang Scenic Attraction. Room was exactly as pictured and both breakfasts and dinners of local specialties were very, very good. Liang, Lao Wu, and Xiao Chen are very attentive hosts and made us feel welcome immediately upon arrival. Liang was also helpful arranging onward transportation on the day we left.
− Wish I had known - or paid more attention to the fine print - that the homestay is inside what is basically a national-level park. You need to take a park shuttle from the ticket center to a stop near the homestay. We did not have much luggage so this was pretty easy to navigate, but it would be difficult with large or numerous bags.

10.0They served good breakfast and one of the best dinner we had in China! Our guide Leo was very nice and helpful. He showed us around. The village is beautiful during the day, and even more at night. The surrounding area feels very safe and less touristy (we stayed during January).
A great guesthouse with lovely people
10.0The guest house is nice, very comfortable, in a quiet part of the village. Liang, his wife and the other woman are lovely and very helpful. I did a great hike with Liang in the countryside (tea fields...) between the old and authentic villages and I loved it! I also had a nice lesson of Lusheng, a Dong traditional music instrument.
Beautiful Village Quiet Clean Comfortable Stay
10.0I am from Arizona United States and i came to San Jiang with my 24 year old son hoping to expose him to the local culture and people. I absolutely loved the experience of staying in the heart of a local minority village! The Lost World building is a solid wood 3 story structure that has been completed remodeled with modern comforts (beds showers and amenities ) while maintaining the original architecture integrity and beauty! The people are so nice and welcoming and the village people (young and old) dressed in their traditional clothes and put on a wonderful performance for all tourists. There are no cars in the village except at the entrance so we just walked around and took in the beautiful scenery. Also I am very impressed how clean the restrooms are and the villages are as the local people are sweeping constantly! A special praise to the owner Wei and his staff they made sure we had western style breakfast and also cooked us a delicious dinner with a variety of local fresh vegetables and meats. We walked through several villages full of small shops and the nicely paved country paths along the river. Absolutely picture perfect green farm fields and mountains and I feel like I am indeed in a beautiful lost world! So glad we stay here and will love to come back again and stay longer next time!
