Don't accept Room 103

A surprise birthday break turned sour when we arrived and found ourselves in Room 103. I challenge anyone in the top management of Daish to allocate that room to a cherished family member or decent friend. We didn't realise how inferior the room was until we saw the equivalent rooms allocated to other guests who had paid the same amount of money. When we tried to bring this to a member of the hotel management team we were fobbed off with some excuse about how the original Victorian rooms had been divided up. The Donald Trump deny deny deny policy in evidence. The Daish business plan is similar to Ryan Air. It looks good value but dig down and you will see it's cheap for a reason. Lower quality food ingredients, 45 minute rushed meal slots and even an excess baggage charge! Our very first time at a Daish hotel; it will certainly be our last.

Lovely holiday, there's only one person that really made my stay, and that was and is Monica my waitress, she is the most nicest and helpful person you could ever wish to meet , and worth her weight in gold to daish's, another special mention is Gordon our driver who worked so hard and always very pleasant, the maintenance man was also very nice to chat with and knowledgeable, and also all the other staff who is didn't really get the chance to meet, all in all a really lovely holiday.

Just returned from our 11th visit to this brilliant hotel. Never ever disappoints on any aspect. We were travelling from Cornwall. Outward journey was made longer due to heavy traffic and roadworks, but our driver Graham took it in his stride.Arrived at hotel 6-15 ish but there was no delay at check in or evening meal.Well done all Our driver home was Joe who kept us informed at all times.Special mention to our lovely friendly waitress Hee , who looked after us during our stay . you are a star.!! Entertainment was ok but after seeing the acts so many times before you tend not to appreciate so much. Having said that, if, as we were at one time first time guests it is really good.Bar staff were on point at all times as were housekeeping staff. If you need any information or advice at all just ask at reception and they will gladly help. .....One of the main reasons we keep on returning to the Imperial , apart from being in our opinion the best,......is that when you return again you still see the same staff and that reflects on the way the staff are treated and excellent management team. We were in room 223 , back of hotel . spotlessly clean and spacious......Until the next time Thank You IMPERIAL .
