Central Stamford Townhouse With Parking♡

Not a pleasant experience, Noisy, Uncomfortable and security concerns!

Initially on arrival everything looked fine and clean on the surface, then a few questions needed answering.

− On arrival, instructions were how to collect keys but no keys just a key code. A little concerning as no key to lock the door at night or a bolt to secure the door from the inside. If someone got the access code they could easily enter the property whist sleeping. The kitchen back door panel was boarded up which looked like someone had broken in to the property. More alarm bells! The beds were so uncomfortable, All Mattresses need replacing as it's like sleeping in a hammock, you literally dip so low and wake with serious back ache! Being next to a main road is not great. very noisy all night with lorries driving through. It was so bad we left after two days cutting short an 8 night stay! The Host Danny was understanding and tried to help and defend my complaints with "The back door was damaged by contractors and waiting to be replaced" He could of mentioned all this prior to put our mind at ease. Not a great stay at all!

Great property, great location and it would definitely be on our shortlist for future visits to Stamford.

Lovely property, brilliant location.

Location to town and plenty of room in house. Good to have two bathrooms for a group. Room for two cars to park in front.

− Few maintenance issues-one window didn't lock, broken handle on bathroom door and flickering lamp.

Good stay with friends in a great location.

The location is fantastic for walking into Stamford and great for driving to other nearby towns, we went to Rutland reservoir which was lovely. The beds were very comfy and the property was very clean on arrival. Everything was working as expected in the kitchen/bathrooms. The owner rang us within an hour of checking out to say we had left some keys which was very helpful! Thank you!

− Some of the window latches are broken which meant the windows didn't shut properly - as it's on quite a busy road this meant a lot of traffic noise overnight. Also the curtains are kind of thin and let a lot of light in. Spare bin bags/dishwasher tablets/washing up sponge would be useful but we managed without.
