If it is going to be Hot in Copenhagen, no AC at this hotel.
4.0Well we showed up at this hotel in the early morning off a cruise and hoped to store our bags securely until check in time. We were told to take our bags to a storage room and were provided with a code. I can't say in my 60 years on the planet that exact scenario has previously occurred. We were like bags # 5 and #6 at the time and I stuffed into a corner and moved a laptop into a big bag to hide it. Did not feel super comfortable with this setup. Fast forward, we come back from sightseeing around 2:45pm and the room is not ready. A lady at check-in tells me she will come find me when the room is ready. We go get our bags and the storage room is overflowing with bags and I basically have to dig my bags out of the corner. Very hot day and very warm in the hotel. Drag bags to reception, sit there sweating profusely and around 3:20pm, I finally approach reception and the room is ready. Viola! Room is nice and spacious although the bathroom is very small and given the large footprint of the room, not sure who designed the bathroom layout. Room had no A/C and is over 80 degrees when we enter and the dyson fan doesn't make a dent. Eventually it cools off and rains outside and with windows open, the inside room temperature only goes down to 79 degrees. But with the fan blowing on me, I am able to get some sleep. NOTE: No screens on the windows and we saw at least 3 mosquitos enter the room. In the morning, I check out the breakfast buffet which looks average but is very expensive so I pass on this.
Quaint.
6.0While I love the decor in the room, ample space in the bathroom outdoor courtyard, street acess and attention to detail. I was not pleased that the hotel is not equipped with central air, just fans.
Lower your expectations to a hostel experience and you may enjoy it.
4.0Starting with a welcome that is not at all friendly nor professional. The check in process is hideous. We arrived 11am from a long flight and were not greeted by anyone at the reception area. We had to go looking for someone. Eventually someone came and told us our room would not be ready and we could check in at 3pm. That's the first things they said! (no "Hello, welcome...") We asked if we could store our bags until check in. Told to take them ourselves to store room. No offer to help. We thought we had a booked a four star hotel not a youth hostel. That's the vibe of Kong Arthur - you get just the basics. We were absolutely exhausted and eventually when we came back to the hotel just before 3pm and sat in front of the check in desk waiting to be received. The same guy from earlier didn't say, "We are ready to check you in", he just tapped away at his computer without looking up. Then of course everybody starts to arrive at 3pm for check in and he served someone who had just walked in. When we eventually did get seen, this guy tapped away so slowly on the computer it was a like a comedy show. We booked ahead, even paid in full first night, all our details are there - what takes so long to fill out? Then back down to the basement to retrieve our bags, walk to a different lift and struggle with them to our room. No offer to help. I think he was punishing us! After arriving in our room the first things we wanted was a shower. The shower pressure was so poor, we tried the bath instead. The plug was not working, so I called down for maintenance. He came promptly and fixed it. He was pleasant - could teach the reception-guy something. As stated in other reviews, the room was very hot. As we stayed in July during a unusually hot summer, we were glad of the fan. The tea and coffee tray was stocked with ONE tea bag and ONE milk carton each. So mean! But this was a terrible way to start our stay and if we had not already paid the first night, we would have left and gone elsewhere. On our second night, we returned to our room at 4pm and our room had not been visited by housekeeping. no dry towels or bed made (we did not expect new bed linen but at least the bed made and replenished towels - which we had left in the bath) . This is NOT a four star hotel, its a 'no frills' no-service over priced hostel. At Kong Arthur guests should expect NO porter, NO mini bar, limited tea and coffee and VERY inattentive service. We can't believe this hotel has earned four stars. Lower your expectations to a hostel experience and you may enjoy it.
Spacious and comfortable
10.0My partner and I stayed here for an overnight stop on our way to Sweden. The hotel was very well maintained, though quite large, spread over about 4 buildings, it never felt busy and crowded as there was so much space. The hotel has lots of different indoor and covered outdoor seating with blankets for when it gets a little chilly. We ate breakfast at the ‘busy’ time, but even then, there was plenty of space for everyone. The hotel is conveniently located about a 5 minute walk from the M and S at Norreport, passing by a number of bars and restaurants on your way. Our room was clean, bright, spacious and comfortable, with a view into of one of the many seating courtyards. We didn’t feel overlooked. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom with over bath shower was clean and spacious. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would return here should we return to Copenhagen.

− Totalt umuligt at sove pga varme. Hedebølge i kbh. Værelset formentlig 27-28 gr. Ingen ac, men en ineffektiv vifte. Fik ingen søvn.
Es war ein stimmiges Gesamtkonzept.
8.0Es war ein stimmiges Gesamtkonzept.
− Das Frühstück ist sehr teuer und man muss den Spa-Bereich extra buchen.
