Loved Sydney, Loved the location. Will never stay with Paxsafe again.

The location was great

− I booked the one bedroom apartment. The apartment smelt badly of cigarette smoke - I found half smoked cigarette buts on the window sill. The window sills looked as though they had never been cleaned and were inches thick of dust and dirt. The curtains were basic, had mould on them. The Kitchen was nothing like the pictures on the internet. It was really small and very basic. The facing of the kitchen bench was some broken pieces of wood held together with a nail that stuck out from beneath the sink and above the dishwasher. It was visibly dirty and there were no rubbish facilities. The floor of the bathroom looked like it had never been properly cleaned and in the corners and against the walls was thick with dirt and dust. The shower and bath area were run down and certainly not somewhere you would want to soak in a bath. The carpets were not clean and a rug in the bedroom was so dirty, we folded it up and put it away. The pull out couch/bed was incredibly uncomfortable to sleep on with no additional mattress or bedding to put over the top to add cushioning. The main bed was terribly uncomfortable and had plastic sheets covering it. When i went to remove the plastic sheet, i found burn holes in both sides of the mattress that looked like it was at least 20 years old! Because it is a privately owned apartment, there is no access to the laundry in the basement but there was a washing machine in the bathroom. To dry your washing was a very cheap rack that kept falling to pieces when you used it. There was no where to hang your towels. I had to clean the kitchen before i used it - and kill cockroaches that were on the bench. The pool and spa area are great. The location is also great and it is impossible to get anything as cheap with such a great location but in reality, it is worth spending a bit more money. Reception staff were nice and friendly but clear they were not there to support users of Paxsafe.

The location is fantastic, and we loved having a balcony. It was great to be able cook for ourselves when we felt like it, too. We were also very grateful to arrange for a later check out. Overall, it was really good value for money in an amazing part of Sydney. Will definitely stay there again!

− The curtains don't close properly in the main sleeping / living room - they're held together by safety pins. Also, the hair dryer in the bathroom didn't work properly; the fitting in the shower for soap is broken; and there is no where to hang clothes while having a shower. These are minor inconveniences, however, and we loved our stay overall..

Good location, filthy apartment

Central location handy for all Sydney attractions and public transport, but also loud traffic noise. Laundry was good at 4AUS$ payable by card or mobile App. On site restaurant was good for breakfast and on site shop handy for essentials. Only guests could access lifts so good for security. Rooftop pool and hot tub clean and had amazing views.

− The apartment itself was filthy and photos did not match current tatty state of apartment. We have complained to owners and Booking.com. Very disappointing to arrive after a long flight to this accommodation.

Apart from the shower everything was amazing. Will definitely stay here again
