It was our mistake that we overlooked the fact that the apartment was located on the edge of the estate, almost a kilometre from the swimming pool and restaurant (and therefore also from the breakfast area). The estate itself is beautiful, with a well-maintained garden and swimming pool. We didn't use the restaurant because of the distance, but it also looked lovely. I can therefore only review our apartment in the town. It was clean, the kitchen was well equipped, and there was parking nearby in the courtyard. However, the furnishings and furniture were quite old. Although it is a traditional old stone house, the lack of air conditioning made it very hot at night during the summer. The apartment felt musty, so we had to keep the windows open, which let even more warm air in. There was only one fan available, so we had to take turns using it throughout the night. 🙂 The owner is otherwise very kind and helpful. Despite the fact that overlooking the distance from the swimming pool was our mistake, he agreed to our departure after the first night, even though we had booked two nights.

− The check-in was a bit chaotic. Unfortunately, we were not told that we had to turn on the gas supply for the stove to work, so we couldn't even make coffee in the morning. The swimming pool and the other facilities are also quite far away, which we didn't notice in the property description, so we are not judging that. It is just under a kilometre away, but the walk there and back involves both downhill and uphill sections. Overall, the value for money absolutely does not match.

The owning family was very kind and the pool is wonderful

− The pool is too far away to walk there with kids. The house contains only old appliances and furniture and the kitchen is very poorly equipped.

Wonderful family-friendly full-service agriturismo with excellent dining options & beautiful scenery

This was an incredible stay. We've stayed in agriturismi all over Italy and this was by far one of the best we've every stayed in. The food, hospitality, wine and ambiance were second to none. As soon as we initially booked, Daniele and his sister Elena were in touch with us to advise us on nearby attractions and the special activities the agriturismo offers, including cooking classes and wine tastings. Our family was a group of 9 and the Palazzo House was more than enough space for us, with each room having it's own en suite full bathroom as well as a bathroom downstairs, a living room, a den, a formal dining area and an informal dining area as well as an outdoor dining area, grill and pool access. The only suggestion I'd make to guests is to be sure to rent an SUV with proper 4-wheel drive as the property has a long dirt road over hills, which are beautiful. . . given the terrain, hiking boots are also a good idea.
