10.0I stayed at Kootney Resorts for about 10 days for work and it was fantastic! Trish and Kyle were lovely hosts and tremendously helpful. Kyle in particular helped me repair some of my equipment, gave me all sorts of useful info on where to find things, and hooked me up withe the best cuisine in the area (he's a chef so he knows which places to eat). Since I was there on my own I ended up hanging out with Kyle quite a bit, really great guy with a dry sense of humor I really enjoyed. He also helped me out a number of times processing samples (I was there studying the hot springs). The bungalows were really great, super roomy, really nice, with full kitchens and plenty of space to spread my stuff out. The showers are fantastic! I want one at home. Next time I'm in Dominica I'm definitely staying at Kootney again and I'm bringing my wife, who I'm sure will love it. Can't recommend it highly enough, great place, great people, fantastic experience!

10.0This property is a tranquil retreat in the middle of a forest and adjacent next to a beautiful river that we all loved swimming in! The owners had many great suggestions of things to see and fo nearby, great places to eat, and places to go for this being our second trip to Portsmouth so we had too much to do and lived it all! Our only regret was that we didn’t have more nights here!

10.0Fantastic stay. Trish and Kyle were great, the place is quiet, beautiful, within wasy walking distance of Portsmouth, as well as some good local restaurants. Good quality Internet service, and full-sized desks if you need to work. Excellent local guides and excursions can be arranged for you. Highly recommended!
