An Unbeatable Value and Classic Resort Experience!

10.0

We had a wonderful stay at The Wigwam! The location couldn't be more convenient, and the resort-style atmosphere immediately sets a relaxing tone. The casita-style rooms are fantastic—clean, cozy, exceptionally functional, and very welcoming. The surrounding grounds are serene and beautifully maintained, making it easy to unwind. What truly stood out, though, was the service. Every staff member we interacted with—across the pool, bar, spa, and restaurants—was warm, attentive, and helpful. For the level of service and high-end amenities you get, it is amazingly affordable and an incredible value. We can’t wait to come back!

One of the best resorts I've been to.

10.0

The Wigwam is a fantastic resort with ample amenities and 5 star ambiance. I attended as a member of a conference, and the overall experience was top notch. The adults only Oasis pool was a highlight and the attention to detail in guest experiences and customer service was exceptional. I highly recommend staying here and I hope to be back again in the future.

Very nice stay!

As usual, everything was great. I do have a question about my bill though. Can you double check my nightly rate, I thought is was less than was billed under the Nelson Family Reunion. Thank you. Adam - 928.853.3495

A Pleasurable Stay

10.0

Upon arrival, I had no idea what I was doing, having never been here. The gentleman parking valet was very understanding, kind and helpful showing me where to park and how to enter the building. Everything was immaculate - Clean lobby - well manicured and pleasing landscape and grounds - clean room. One thing to keep in mind is that the water is very hard in this part of Arizona. The showerheads showed visible calcium buildup, which caused them to leak and reduced the water pressure. I would still rate my exaperince a 9 out of 10.

Hospitality is quite poor, they seem to be resting on the notoriety of the place 80 years ago

1.0

Grounds are nice, the valets were pretty nice about taking me back and letting me in my room when I got locked out, though I was barefoot in the heat and they wouldn't let me in until someone at the front dest confirmed my name/room, though I'd offered to show my ID and we could have been at the door by the time they confirmed. Bathroom in the oasis room was pretty sick, too bad the hospitality is not there to back it up.

Room service doesn't answer the phone, I was lost trying to check in and staff were not helpful, food was a gross mess, they didn't tell you that if you select the plant a tree thing they cancel housekeeping service, I told them not to change it midway as they had already goofed it up, but they sent the housekeepers anyway, when I was not expecting them. They would leave room service trays at your front door overnight, 12 plus hours. The interiors are above average but the exteriors are run down, the exposed wood details are all rotten and falling apart. Overall pretty bad.

Massively unreasonable, managers ignoring requests for help with issues

1.0

Not much to like this time. There are some pretty sick vintage finishes around the property, custom details that are fitting of a world class resort. They do sell nachos, which I would say I like. Unfortunately, they ruined the nachos too, instead of cheese they drenched the chips in some disgusting, processed queso sauce. Honestly the most disgusting nachos I've ever tasted. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.

Sadly this place is run down and the staff couldn't pick hospitality out of a line up. This stay was truly horrible. First issue, the tv remote was not working. I used to work in resorts, you know what we did every time we prepped a room for new guest? Checked the remote batteries, yep. A maintenance person finally brought me a new one, however it was covered by a thick layer of grime like it had been sitting on the work bench for 9-24 months. Gross. Next up, the shower leaked all over the bathroom, even with the head pointed toward the inner wall and not the glass door. Huge puddles. It was rainy and stormy that first night and there was dripping sounds down in the wall behind the bathroom mirror all night. Annoying. Now the grand finale. The room was drenched in a disgusting perfume smell. This gave me a migraine and kept me from sleeping and it disrupted my work the next day. When I returned about 24 hours after I'd checked in, getting back from work, I'd hoped the smell would be gone. It was worse. I still had the migraine so it was excruciating to be in the room and smell it. I called and let them know. They told me they were too busy to deal with it. I waited a painful 30 minutes for them to call me back but they never did. I took the key to the front desk and told them I was leaving. Apparently, they thought this was the most wretched thing any one ever did because they made no effort to rectify the situation and I have yet to receive any contact from them, any acknowledgment of the suffering they caused me and no apology. I tried through booking.com but the resort never answered their calls and would not agree to any sort or reasonable solution or resolution. The did eventually process the charge for about half the cost of the four night stay, though I'd only been there about 24 hours in an uninhabitable room that triggered a medical condition. It's really a bummer, this could be a world class resort.
