5.0Very friendly staff, great location, just a 3-minute walk from the West End. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Around a 10-minute walk to Edinburgh Castle. I had requested a quiet room and was given one with windows facing the courtyard, which I really appreciated. The bed was very comfortable.
− The rooms are very poorly soundproofed from the inside, and the doors have no door closers and slam shut with considerable force. This is very annoying. The room was extremely small. There was not enough space for a large suitcase, and there was hardly any storage space for clothes and other belongings. The value for money is rather poor, as it is quite expensive for what you get.
It was a good stay, I was safe, my room was clean and everything worked.
7.0The young men who checked me in were very nice and helpful. Jason and Tom. They checked me in early, 9:30 am, for which I was so grateful because I was exhausted from the International flight.
− I booked a room for one, so my room was smallish--which didn't bother me. The bed was extremely comfortable and housekeeping visited each day to empty trash and replace towels. The only negative about the room was that it was very hot and even with the electric fan (that was provided) I had trouble sleeping at night because of the heat.
