Absolutely amazing
10.0The friendly staff are amazing and they went above and beyond our expectation. I wish I could remember the names of the kitchen staff but they all did an amazing job to make our stay memorable and great. Theo, the front desk staff have also contributed a lot to our adventure. He helped arrange our boat trip with the guide (Claude) who was knowlegeable and professional. He explained everything before we departed and there was no surprises. Theo even coordinated our boat tour with another guests with a kid. Their cute girl even became friend with our daughter and played together throught the 2+ hour boat trip to various islands. Unfortunately, we were not able to see Monkies in the island named after them "The Monkey Island". Instead we made a joke of the situation and named it " Mango Island" as we ended up walking around inside the island and ate delicious mangoes. The rooms have a nice view to the Kivu lake,and you can even see it while dining in the restaurant. The fresh breeze, added with the delicious food in the restaurant made our stay truly wonderful and memorable. We brought two kids, 1 and 6, and they did enjoy it greatly. For families with kids, the "Carnival Beach" provides us a pool alternative as we were not able to find pool accessible to the public. There are some but are exclusively for staying guests. So our daughters experienced a beach experience in the afore mentioned place, which is not too far from Rebero Kivu Resort. It was so good that my wife suggested that we move here and stay for a couple of years. We will see.
− The very short road (about 50-70 meters from the main road was a bit rough for our small car. Upgrading it with sphalt (tarmac road) would greatly appreciate this location. For SUVs its not an issue. The fridge in the room did not work,we put some milk for our daughter and it was spoiled. But since we could get milk from the restaurant it wasn't a big deal. Just mentioning for improvement purposes only.
