8.0Chambres d’hôtes légèrement excentrées des villes touristiques. Vieille bâtisse, il faut aimer le charme de l’ancien. La propriétaire des lieux est très gentille et arrangeante. Petit déjeuner de qualité servit à table (pas en buffet).

6.0Chance au Roy is situated in the countryside outside Aigneville. The accommodation is part of an estate, the owners living in a chateau the accommodation is in the grounds. It’s a beautiful setting but in need of some restoration. When we arrived we had a lovely welcome from Elizabeth the owner, she hadn’t been expecting us, despite booking ,but showed us a room that was available. It was large and very comfortable with a big sitting room off of the bedroom. The sitting room lead into a kitchen, where breakfast was served. Off of this was our bathroom. This was the problem, on waking in the morning, we had to go through the kitchen where guests were having breakfast to use the bathroom. There were screens but still a complete lack of privacy. We paid £180 for 2 nights and would have expected more privacy. The owner was lovely, the room clean and comfortable. It was just the bathroom issue we didn’t like. Breakfast was croissant, bread and yoghurt and fresh coffee. Basic but fine.
