I came to Hampton Inn Bloomington , and to enjoy lots of shopping . The stay here must be rated excellent : staff , mainly general mgr ., Rachel , Tiffany , Isabela ; front desk staff - all were very willing to accommodate and answer questions and facilitate in numerous ways ; the room cleaning , laundry , and maintenance staff made my comfort the central part of my private needs experiences , and all with continuous greetings with a smile !

Every staff member we interacted with was extremely friendly and helpful. At so many hotels, the staff are clearly just there to do a job and get a paycheck. But the staff here were all genuinely enthusiastic and seemed to love the hotel and guests.

Good afordable stay while in town for a concert

Affordable, good location, servicable breakfast. Easy on-site parking.

− The bathroom sink stopper was stuck and wouldn't drain. Overheard another guest complaining at checkout about their bathroom vanity top/sink leaning due to a bent, misaligned bracket. Staff said it was a common issue and would get the maintenance crew to work on it.

Location handy

− Elevators, hallway areas very unclean (dirty qtip on ground outside of elevator in hall for 2 days...gross). Cleaning service pounded in our door to check a list of who was still in room at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday. Very ridiculous.

Disappointing Customer Service and Follow-Up

One of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had. On April 24, 2026, I was traveling alone with two children, including a toddler, when I discovered at 5 AM that my vehicle had been towed and I was at risk of missing my flight. The most frustrating part wasn’t even the tow—it was the complete lack of help from the hotel. I was essentially handed the tow company’s phone number and told to figure it out myself. I had to repeatedly push for management involvement and ask the hotel to contact the tow company directly because I couldn’t get answers on my own. Afterward, getting follow-up information was just as difficult. Emails went unanswered, I had to repeatedly request updates, and it took multiple follow-ups just to obtain basic information about my case. What really stood out was that the tow company owner ultimately showed more accountability than the hotel. He reviewed the situation, acknowledged how the misunderstanding could have happened, and refunded the tow fee. Meanwhile, the hotel’s position was essentially that it wasn’t their problem. I understand that mistakes happen. What disappointed me was the lack of communication, ownership, and concern for a guest dealing with a stressful situation while traveling with young children.
