Far from a 4-star experience, especially for the price

The location is great and the luggage service was smooth. Some members of staff were kind and helpful.

− We checked in at 9 am and were offered a basement room three times, even though we had specifically paid extra on Booking for an above-ground room. The room we were finally given was tiny (there wasn't enough space for two people to move around), dark, cold, and located in a separate building across the street from reception. It looked nothing like the deluxe room shown on the website. When I asked reception whether anything else was available, the receptionist told me this was the room we had booked and that all rooms were the same size. I showed her the photo of the room we had paid for, and she replied that it wasn't her fault but the marketing team's. She then offered us a basement room again. When we came back after a long day, we found that the heater was broken, so the room was freezing, and the lights were flickering. Back at reception, another staff member offered us three rooms, two of them underground. By then we just wanted to rest, so we moved to room 221 in the main building. It was bigger and more welcoming, but: the curtain wouldn't open fully, the room was dusty and dirty (photo attached), the toilet had been left clogged by the previous guests, the heater didn't work either, and the view was of the AC units on the roof. Housekeeping never came during our stay, we were given no information about breakfast, and the Wi-Fi was weak throughout the building. We paid more than €400 for a supposedly 4-star hotel. Given the price and the category, this stay was a real disappointment.

L'emplacement de l'hôtel à quelques minutes à pied de la station de train/métro Paddington

− Le fait de devoir demander que le room-service passe pour faire la chambre et qu'ils ne changent que les linges et vident les poubelles. Le lit n'a pas été fait et le nettoyage non plus. Si déjà on demande explicitement le room-service, j'ai une attente envers ce service. De plus de lit était vraiment petit pour 2 personnes.

Fabulous location if you’re arriving by train from Heathrow.

− There were a few issues with the room during the stay but management addressed each of them in a timely manner.

Location is excellent, hotel is quite beautiful and well organized

− The room was different from the pictures. I asked for a triple room and they gave me a double and added a children's bed in the corner which took a lot of space and made the room way smaller. Cleanliness was ok but we found a piece of Nutella under my kid's bed. The bathroom had no ventilation which makes the room quite smelly. We had to leave the door closed. Inside the bathroom the temperature was warm but in the bedroom was soooooo cold. The ventilation was just blowing cold air and no way to turn it off. We had to move the kids bed to another place. Breakfast was OK but the place is so small that if you don't go early, you need to wait outside for a while. The service was very bad. People quite rude. Many times I said good morning and nobody replies. Except the Romanian gentleman from the reception, I didn't find anyone nice. To add, the elevator was broken and we were on the top floor. In summary, many issues.... unfortunately was not as expected.
